She later attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny Iowa and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Sacred Music. Over the years Karis has taught private lessons and in the last four years she has taught pre-school, elementary music and band/ensemble classes at Grace Christian School in West Columbia SC and Beth Eden Baptist School in Denver CO. Karis Joined Inspire Music Arts in 2024 where she teaches beginning piano and voice lessons, with the plan of also teaching flute. She also accompanies for Inspire’s Children’s Choir.
